Seventh Heaven Layer Salad

6 to 7 cups iceberg lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces
1/2 cup sliced green onions, with green tops
Salt and pepper to taste
Sugar to taste
6 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 (10-ounce) package frozen peas, thawed
1 pound bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheeseRecipe
Line bottom of large salad or serving bowl with three cups lettuce. Add
green onions in a layer; salt, pepper and sugar to taste. Add eggs in a
layer; salt to taste. In separate layers, add walnuts, peas, remaining
three
to four cups lettuce, bacon and Swiss cheese. Cover completely with
mayonnaise and refrigerate for 24 hours. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese
and
serve. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
