8 apples
8 popsicle sticks
Syrup:
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. light Karo syrup
1 c. water
1/3 c. cinnamon candies
1/2 tsp. red food coloring
Recipe
Cook syrup to hard-crack stage, about 15 minutes (300 degrees),
stirring
and testing (use candy thermometer, if possible).
Remove from heat and place in pan of hot water. Keep syrup hot while
dipping apples. A thin coat is nicer than a thick one on apples. Place
on wax paper to cool.
