TWINKIES are a brand name snack cake name after a brand of
    shoes,
They are a sponge cake orginally filled with a bananas
flavored filling , now they have a marshamallowfluffy
filling. they look like little loaves. they are filled from
the bottom using thee hole filling instrument.

    List of Ingredients

    HOT MILK SPONGE CAKE
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. hot milk
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Recipe

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add butter
to milk to keep hot. Beat eggs until thick and lemon color,
about 3 minutes at high speed on mixer. Gradually add sugar,

beating constantly at medium speed 4 to 5 minutes. Quickly
    add
sifted dry ingredients to egg mixture; stir until blended.
Stir in hot milk mixture and vanilla. Blend well. Pour into
wax paper lined 9 1/2-inch round cake pan. Bake 25 to 30
minutes. Cool in pan 15 minutes.

Now I make mine in mini loaves pans. Once done I use my cake
decorating/pastry bag filled with filling and inject filling
into 3 places on bottom of cake. Wrap individaully

The filling I use is one part marshmallow creme or fluff to
one part powder sugar. Today I am adding banana instant
pudding mix also, as I love the banana flavored ones.

If you do not have any mini loaf pans ,here is what to do:
divide batter among two jelly roll pans bake ...let cool.
spread filling over one layer. Put other layer on top.
cut into 1 1/2 inch by 3 inch slices and wrap each
    individaully.
