    Hamburger Vegetable Soup

    List of Ingredients




    1 1/2 lbs hamburger
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1 small head of cabbage, chopped
    1 lb frozen mixed vegetables
    2 ( 14-ounce )cans diced tomatoes with juice
    3 ( 15-ounce ) cans of beef broth
    maccaroni - as much as you like
    2 tbs. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
    water to cover
    ** Beef boullion. I occasionally need to add this to add more flavor.
    You can add as much as you like at any time. Be careful though, it can
    get salty depending on which brand you use.

    Cook hamburger, onion and celery in a large pot until no longer pink.
    Drain and return it to the pot. Add frozen vegetables, tomatoes, broth
    and cabbage. Add water to cover. Cook over medium-low heat for 1
    hour, check to see if it needs more water. Cook 1 hour longer. Add
    maccaroni. Cook until tender. Add salt and pepper to taste along with
    butter.
