List of Ingredients
*Mixing Tip
Place a folded, damp towel under the bowl and it won't slip and slide
while mixing.
*Getting Rid Of Fat
Eliminate fat from soup and stew by dropping ice cubes into the pot. As
you stir, the fat will cling to the cubes. Discard the cubes before
they melt.
*Preserving Family Photos
Hurricanes, fires and floods happen. Damage from these storms can ruin
many things in your home, including valuable family pictures. Make
extra copies of precious photos by scanning in your computer or copying
them. Store originals in a water-tight safe spot.
*Can't Find Your Keys?
When you come home, designate one spot - near the door, in the kitchen,
by your bed - to put your keys into. Place a pretty basket, bowl or
hook in the spot. That way no more searching for keys when you are rushing
out in a hurry.

*SHARPEN KITCHEN SHEARS THE EASY WAY
One of our subscribers uses this method to sharpen kitchen shears. Cut
steel wool or Scotch-Brite pads with your shears and they will be
immediately ready to cut again. We tried a Scotch-Brite pad and it works
well.
*IF NOTHING ELSE WORKS TRY HAIRSPRAY
Hard to believe but true. Try some of these Hairspray tricks:
Use Hairspray as a fixative for chalk or pastel drawings.
After you have polished brass or copper items, not pans or cooking
utensils, spray with Hairspray to add protective coating against tarnish.
If you have ruffled sheer curtains, arrange the way you want in your
window and spray the ruffles with Hairspray to stiffen and hold that
perfect crisp look longer.
You can spray your recipe cards with Hairspray to give them extra
protection against staining and tearing.
You can remove dried on glue from bottles and jars with Hairspray by
spraying the dried glue with Hairspray and then washing in soapy water.
The ingredients in hairspray dissolve glue.
Try removing ink or ballpoint stains from clothing, fabric or
children's skin with Hairspray. For fabric, spray the stain and blot, repeating
until the stain is removed and then wash. Works best when used
immediately. For tougher old stains wash with Clorox or color safe bleach. For
children's skin, saturate with Hairspray and
the wash with soap and water.
Hairspray works well when sprayed on a cloth and then rubbed over
furniture or fabric to remove pet hair.
Remove gum from carpet by spraying with Hairspray and gently brushing
until removed. It will not leave a stain. (Note from Jodi: just like
Coke....makes you wonder about using the product on yourself huh? LOL)
*CUSTOMIZE YOUR MAGNETS
If you are like me, you have dozens of flat magnets from various
venders, realtors, insurance companies etc all over your refrigerator. These
advertisements are holding up pictures, recipes and miscellaneous
information we need to be able to find quickly. Here is a fun trick to
eliminate all those ads. Using the magnet as
a pattern, place it over a picture of a loved one, colored cutouts from
magazines such as fruit, vegetables or scraps of fabric you are
particularly fond of or that match your kitchen décor or use whatever strikes
your fancy. Cut around the edge of the magnet and glue your selection
over the magnet surface. There you are, custom made magnets. They
make quick, easy and inexpensive gifts covered with pictures of your
children for relatives and friends.
*ODOR REMOVAL FORMULA
The formula (these are cat-sized amounts; you might have to scale it up
to take care of a large dog): one quart of three-percent hydrogen
peroxide, 1/4 cup of baking soda and one teaspoon of liquid soap (which
breaks
up the oils in the spray and lets the other ingredients work. Rinse the
animal off with tap water. Recipe
