1 cup margarine or butter, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup finely chopped nuts
1/4 tsp. salt

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix margarine, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, and the vanilla in 3-qt. bowl. Stir in flour, nuts and salt. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet until set but not brown, 8 to 9 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar while warm. Cool; roll in powdered sugar again. Yield: About 4 dozen cookies
