Portuguese Bean Soup

List of Ingredients
1 cup dried red beans (rinsed thoroughly)
6 cups water
2 onions, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 lb. salt pork, cut into thick slices
3 potatoes, peeled and diced
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 (8 oz.) can tomato paste
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. beef bouillon or 3 bouillon cubes
Recipe
In crockpot, soak beans in water overnight. Cover and cook on high for 2 to 3 hours or until tender. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
