    "Louisiana Recipes", by Louisiana Hot Sauce

    List of Ingredients




    2 loaves sandwich bread
    4 lb. bacon
    3/4 cup minced celery
    2 cups red bell pepper, chopped (3-4 peppers)
    12 hard boiled eggs, chopped
    16 oz. cream cheese
    16 oz. mayonnaise
    1/2 cup sliced green onions
    Salt and black pepper to taste
    Louisiana Gold Pepper Sauce or "Original" Louisiana Hot Sauce

    Trim the crust off the bread slices and set aside. In a cast-iron skillet, fry bacon until crisp. Drain and crumble. In a large mixing bowl, combine bacon, celery, red bell pepper, eggs, cream cheese, mayonnaise, and green onions. Season to taste with hot sauce. Spread mixture onto the bread and refrigerate prior to serving.
