    Ruben Casserole

    Chicken may be used in place of corned beef in this recipe.Bake at 350 degrees.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 lb. corned beef (or chicken), chopped
    • 1 loaf of light rye bread
    • 1 large can sauerkraut, well drained
    • 1 pkg. of swiss cheese (with holes)
    • 1 large bottle Thousand Island dressing


    Instructions


    1. Butter large casserole dish.Tear rye bread in peices and line the bottom of the dish.
    2. Layer on top, in this order, corned beef or chicken,sauerkraut, swiss cheese, and drizzle with Thousand Island.Repeat layers, ending with swiss cheese on top.
    3. Cover and bake at 350 degrees until hot and cheese is bubbly, about 30 minutes.
