List of Ingredients

1 c sugar
1 egg
1/2 c milk
1/2 c cocoa
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
1-1/2 c flour
1/2 c shortening
1/2 c boiling water



Recipe

First put sugar into mixing bowl. Then add egg and milk. Add cocoa, salt, soda, vanilla, flour and shortening. Pour water into bowl over shortening. Not until water is in do you stir. Now beat thoroughly for 3 minutes. Place in 325* oven for 25-30 minutes. Bake in 8x8 pan.
