Fresh Broccoli and Crab Meat with Pasta
List of Ingredients
2 cups of fresh crab meat, boiled, cleaned and chopped.
If unattainable, use:
One package (16oz.) Imitation Crab Meat Pieces, chopped
(Sometimes this is found in the frozen food section.)
One large head fresh broccoli
One box/package, (16oz.) of your favorite pasta.
2 Tsp fresh, crushed garlic (fresh always tastes better,
but use the jar kind, if you can't find fresh)
1 to 2 TBS Olive oil (or low fat margarine can be used)
Parmesan cheese to tasteRecipe
Boil water to cook the pasta, as directed on package.While the water
heats to a boil, chop up the broccoli florets and stems.Boil pasta for
12 minutes. For the last 6 minutes, cook the cut-up broccoli, in the
water, with the pasta.While the broccoli and pasta are cooking, heat
the olive oil or margarine in a small skillet. Add garlic and saute.
Put the cut up crab meat into the skillet and toss it with the garlic
and oil to heat through.Drain the pasta/broccoli mixture, and put it
into a serving bowl (or just back into the empty pot you boiled it
in.)Mix the heated crab meat with the pasta and broccoli. Garnish
with Parmesan cheese to taste.Serve with fresh Italian or French bread
and butter.
