NO FROST CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKE
I USED THIS FOR CUBSCOUT DINNERS, LESS MESS!
List of Ingredients
- 1 CUP DATES (CUT)
- 1/2 CUP CHOPPED NUTS
- 1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
- 1 CUP PLUS 3 TABLESPOONS HOT WATER
- 1 CUP SUGAR
- 1 CUP CRISCO
- 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
- 2 CUPS FLOUR
- 2 EGGS
- 1 TABLESPOON COCOA
- 1 TEASPOON VANILLA
- 1 CUP CHOCOLATE CHIPS
Instructions
- ADD BAKING SODA TO DATES AND POUR HOT WATER OVER THEM.
- CREAM CRISCO AND SUGAR, ADD DATES, EGGS, FLOUR, SALT, COCOA, AND VANILLA.
- BEAT WELL.
- ADD 1/2 CUP CHOCOLATE CHIPS.
- POUR INTO GREASED AND FLOURED 9X13 INCH PAN.
- SPRINKLE REMAINING 1/2 CUP CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND ALL THE NUTS OVER THE TOP.
- BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 40 MINUTES.
