STRAWBERRY SNOW PUDDING
List of Ingredients
- PUDDING:
- 3 EGG WHITES
- 1 PINT STRAWBERRIES
- 1 1/2 CUPS SUGAR
- 2 ENVELOPES UNFLAVORED GELATINE
- CUSTARD SAUCE:
- 1 TABLESPOON FLOUR
- 1/4 CUP SUGAR
- 1 1/4 CUP MILK
- 3 EGG YOLKS
- 1/4 TEASPOON VANILLA
Instructions
- COMBINE 1 1/4 CUPS SUGAR AND 1 CUP WATER IN SAUCEPAN.
- BRING TO BOIL.
- MEANWHILE SOFTEN GELATIN IN 1/2 CUP WATER.
- ADD SOFTENED GELATIN TO SUGAR AND STIR TIL GELATINE DISSOLVED.
- PLACE SAUCEPAN IN BOWL IF ICE WATER AND STIR UNTIL SET, ABOUT 15 MINUTES.
- BEAT EGG WHITES UNTIL SOFT PEAKS FORM, GRADUALLY BEAT IN 1/4 CUP SUGAR.
- BEAT TIL STIFF PEAKS FORM.
- FOLD INTO SET GELATIN.
- POUR INTO MOLD AND CHILL 3 HOURS.
- CUSTARD SAUCE:
- STIR FLOUR AND SUGAR IN SAUCEPAN, STIR IN MILK.
- ADD EGGS AND VANILLA.
- COOK UNTIL THICKENED.
- REFRIGERATE UNTIL WELL CHILLED.
- TO SERVE UNMOLD, POUR ON SAUCE AND DECORATE WITH WHOLE STRAWBERRIES.
