    LET YOUR BREAD MACHINE DO MOST OF THE WORK FOR YOU !!


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 CUP PLUS 2 TABLESPOONS WATER
    • 3 CUPS FLOUR
    • 3 TABLESPOONS BROWN SUGAR
    • 1 1/2 TEASPOONS DRY YEAST
    • 2 QUARTS WATER
    • 1/2 CUP BAKING SODA
    • COARSE SALT.


    Instructions


    1. PLACE FIRST FOUR INGREDIENTS INTO BREAD MACHINE.
    2. SELECT DOUGH SETTING.
    3. WHEN CYCLE IS COMPLETE TURN DOUGH ONTO FLOURED SURFACE.
    4. DIVIDE INTO EIGHT BALLS.
    5. ROLL INTO 20 INCH ROPE:FORM PRETZEL SHAPE.
    6. IN A SAUCEPAN BRING WATER AND BAKING SODA TO A BOIL.
    7. DROP IN PRETZELS TWO AT A TIME;BOIL 10 TO 15 SECONDS.
    8. REMOVE WITH SLOTTED SPOON AND DRAIN ON PAPER TOWEL.
    9. PLACE PRETZELS ON GREASED BAKING SHEETS.
    10. BAKE 425 DEGREES FOR 8 TO 10 MINUTES, OR TIL GOLDEN.
    11. SPRITZ LIGHTLY WITH WATER AND SPRINKLE ON SALT.
    12. NOTE******* YOU CAN ALSO USE RAISINS IN YOUR DOUGH AND COAT THE PRETZELS WITH A SUGAR GLAZE.
