    List of Ingredients




    2 cups fresh garbanzo beans
    ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
    1 cup cherry tomatoes
    Juice of half a lemon
    ½ teaspoon each, toasted & ground oregano & cumin seeds
    2 garlic cloves, minced

    salt and pepper to taste
    Ghee


    Recipe



    Shell and blanch the fresh garbonzo beans in boiling water for a few minutes. Drain and set aside.

    Heat a skillet, and add a tablespoon of Ghee (clarified butter). Add the toasted and ground cumin and oregano, and the freshly minced garlic. Saute brieflly until fully heated. Add the fresh chickpeas and continue cooking for a few more minutes, until the chickpeas are cooked. Salt and pepper to taste, and remove from flame. Toss in the fresh cilantro and the lemon juice. Taste and adjust seasonings if neccesary.
