    Peach Cobbler

    List of Ingredients




    4 to 5 large fresh peaches

    Custard:
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. white sugar
    1 Tbs. cornstarch
    1/2 c. cold water
    1 Tbs. lemon juice

    Topping:
    1-1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. softened butter
    2 Tbs. sugar
    1-1/4 tsp. nutmeg

    Recipe



    Peel and slice peaches and arrange in bottom of a 2 quart glass or ceramic baking dish. Set aside.

    Custard: In saucepan, mix brown sugar and white sugar. Stir in cornstarch and cold water. Cook until thickened and stir in lemon juice. Pour custard over sliced peaches. Set aside.

    Topping: Mix flour and sugar along with milk and softened butter. Mix well. Spoon over top of peach cobbler. In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons sugar and 1-1/4 teaspoon nutmeg. Sprinkle over the top of the cobbler. Bake at 375 F degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.
