    Have served this twice, David absolutely loves it. The original recipe needed some punch, so I added 1 small onion, sliced, and slowly sauteed; sesame oil, fresh ginger instead of ground ginger (duh), more than doubled the red pepper flakes, and added a load of rice wine vinegar. Result - delicious.

    List of Ingredients

    16 oz lean ground beef
    3 cloves of garlic, minced
    1/4 cup brown sugar (I USED 3 TBSP)
    1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
    2 tsp sesame oil (I used more)
    1/4 tsp ground ginger (I used a thumb-sized knob, minced)
    1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (MORE)
    1/4 tsp pepper (didn't use)
    2 green onions, sliced, for garnish

    Recipe

    Sautee 1 thinly sliced onion.

    While onion is cooking, combine sugar, soy sauce, ginger, oil pepper.

    To onion, add garlic, sautee 30 secs or so. Add beef, sautee until no longer pink.

    Serve over rice, garnish with green onion
