Bean Soup
List of Ingredients
- 2 cups Great Northern Beans, rinsed (or pkg of 15 beans)
- 1 quart water
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 (15-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- ground hot pepper
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Soak beans overnight in 1 quart water and 1 teaspoon baking.
- Drain and rinse beans; set aside.
- Saute onion and garlic until golden place in crockpot.
- Place soaked beans and remaining ingredients in crockpot all day.
- Put just enough water in crockpot to cover the beans.
