    2 cups uncooked macaroni
    3 Tablespoons butter
    1/4 cup flour
    1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    Pinch of pepper
    1/2 cup milk
    1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
    2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
    1/2 to 1 cup bread crumbs or Ritz style crackers, crushed
    2 Tablespoons melted butter

    Preheat oven to 350º F. Cook macaroni in boiling, salted water until tender (approximately 10 minutes). Drain well. Meanwhile, melt butter in a saucepan. Blend in flour and seasonings. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. Add tomatoes and cook, stirring constantly until thickened. Stir in cheese and macaroni. Turn into a greased 2 quart baking dish. Cover with a mixture of crumbs and melted butter. Bake for 30 minutes. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
