    1 unbaked (9-inch) single crust pie shell
    1 cup pecan halves
    3 eggs
    2/3 cup sugar
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 cup corn syrup
    1/3 cup butter, melted

    Recipe



    Spread pecans over pastry. Beat next five ingredients together well. Pour over pecans. Bake on lower rack at 425º F for 10 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350º F and continue baking for 35 to 40 minutes, or just until set. Cool. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired. Makes about 6 servings.
