Recipe Introduction
Let that bottled or package mix crap alone. It ain't that darn hard. Do note this can be doubled, tripled or whatever. It is a ratio recipe.
List of Ingredients
1 cup Liquid left after cooking meat
2 tbsp flour
cold waterRecipe
To each cup of pan liquid add, gradually 2 tbsp flour mixed with an equal amount of cold water.
Cook as for white sauce [see recipe]
Strain
Or you can be like my Mother and serve it lumpy. Hey that was the BEST part of the gravy. Those little flour dumplings with meat broth cooked in.
Not every lumpy gravy is bad. But if you are showing off? Strain.
