    1 bottle.(18oz) barbecue sauce
    1/4 cup bourban whiskey or apple juice
    2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 chicken, 3-3 1/2 lbs.., cut into 8 pieces

    In a bowl, stir together barbecue sauce, whiskey, vinegar, chili powder, and cinnamon. Reserve 2/3 cup sauce mixture; place remaining sauce in a large plastic food storage bag. Pierce chicken with a fork; add to the bag with sauce, making sure all chicken pieces are coated. Seal bag; refrigerate 2 hours, turning occasionally.
    Preheat oven to 375. Line a jellyroll pan with foil; coat with cooking spray. Remove chicken from bag, letting excess sauce drip off; discard the bag with sauce. Arrange chicken, skin-side up, on the pan. Roast until no longer pink near the bone, 45-50 minutes, brushing with reserved mixture several times during last 20 minutes of cooking time.
