    1 1/2 c. Crisco oil
    2 large eggs
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. thinly sliced apples
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 to 2 tsp. cinnamon
    3 c. sifted flour

    Recipe



    Beat together oil, eggs and sugar. Then add in remain-
    ing ingredients. (Batter will be stiff.) Bake at 350 degrees
    for 1
    hour or 1 hour and 10 minutes. Bake in tube pan or muffin
    tins. Sprinkle muffins with sugar before baking. Time for
    muffins decreases to about 15 minutes. Cake can be served
    with
    a thin glaze or whipped cream or plain.
