    2 cups sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 cup salad oil
    2 cups flour
    2 t. baking soda
    1/2 cup pecans, chopped
    1 t. vanilla
    4 cups apples, chopped (Winesap)
    2 t. cinnamon
    1/8 t. salt
    Topping:
    6 oz. cream cheese, softened
    4 T. butter (no substitutes)
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1/2 t. vanilla

    Recipe



    Mix sugar, eggs, and salad oil together. Add remaining ingredients and
    mix
    thoroughly. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 12" pan and bake at 350
    for 45
    minutes. For the topping, mix softened cream cheese with remaining
    ingredients. Spread on cooled cake.
