    Combine in saucepan :
    1/2 cup butter
    1 cup sugar
    1/4 cup water
    1 egg, well beaten
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice

    Cook over med heat, stirring constantly, just until mixture comes
    to a boil then pour over cake in serving dishes.
