LEMON REFRIGERATOR COOKIES

2 sticks butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp. shredded lemon peel
2 to 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
Recipe
Cream butter and sugars; add eggs, lemon peel and juice,
beat well. Blend flour and soda; add to creamed mixture. Add
nuts and mix well. Shape into 2 or 3 rolls, 1/2 inch in
diameter. Wrap each roll in waxed paper. Chill in refrigerator until firm.
Cut rolls into 1/4 inch slices. Bake on a
cookie sheet in a 375 degrees oven for about 10 minutes until lightly browned.
