BANANA DOUGHNUTS

1/4 c. butter, creamed
1 c. sugar
3 eggs, well beaten
1 c. mashed bananas
1/2 c. sour milk
5 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
Recipe
Stir sugar gradually in butter. Beat until fluffy, then
add eggs. Then, combine bananas and sour milk. Add to butter
and sugar mixture. Sift together flour, baking powder,
baking
soda, cinnamon and salt. Add to batter and mix until smooth.
Chill well before rolling. Turn out on floured board and
knead
lightly. Roll out 1/2-inch thick. Cut with floured doughnut
cutter. Fry in deep fat at 375 degrees until light brown,
turning
once. Yield: about 4 dozen.
