Recipe Introduction
Penuche is a rich creamy frosting made from brown sugar, butter,
milk or cream and vanilla.
List of Ingredients
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup half &half
1/4 cup Land O' Lakes Butter
1/8 tsp. salt
2-1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Recipe
Cook brown sugar, half &half, butter and salt in 2-quart saucepan over
medium heat until mixture comes to a full boil (6 to 8 minutes).
Cool slightly (15 to 20 minutes).
Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla; beat until smooth.
Makes 1-1/2 cups.
