    1/2 cup red hot candy
    3 cup boiling water
    2 cup apple sauce
    1 large box cherry Jello
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    1/2 cup chopped nuts
    topping:
    8 oz cream cheese
    1/4 cup milk
    2 tablespoons mayonnaise

    Recipe



    Dissolve gelatin and candy in boiling water, stir in apple sauce, lemon
    and salt.

    Chill until partially set. Add nuts.

    Pour into 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan. Allow to set.

    Blend cream cheese, milk and mayonnaise. Spread on top of Jello.
