    FREEZE AHEAD BUTTER COOKIES

    1 lb. butter
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. boiling water
    3 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    6 1/2 c. flour
    2 c. chopped pecans

    Recipe



    Mix butter, sugars and boiling water until smooth and
    well blended.
    Add eggs and mix well.
    Sift soda, salt and flour.
    Add pecans.
    Add dry ingredients to butter-sugar mixture and mix well.
    Divide dough into 4 portions.
    Form each portion into a log about silver dollar size
    around.
    Wrap each roll in plastic wrap.
    Place rolls in heavy duty freezer bag.
    Stores well up to 6 months in freezer.
    when ready to use
    take a roll from the freezer.
    Unwrap and slice off the number of cookies needed,
    1/4 inch thick each.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375
    degrees for 6 to 10
    minutes until edges brown. Makes 12 dozen small
    cookies.
