4 pounds corned beef
1 cup brown sugar
Whole cloves
Recipe
Cover corned beef with cold water, heat to boiling and skim.
Reduce heat and simmer meat until tender 3 to 4 hours. Remove
from water, place on rack in a roaster. Rub brown sugar over
corned beef. Insert whole cloves into meat in diagonal rows and
bake in a moderate oven (325 degrees F.) until browned.
Serves 10 to 12.
