Beef Round over Noodles

2 Tblsp. peanut or corn oil
1 tsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. sherry
3 cups thinly sliced onions(don't skimp, these cook up into a fabulous
sauce)
2 tsp. cornstarch
1 Tblsp. soy sauce
1 1/2 lbs beef round, thinly sliced (partially freezing will
help you to slice this meat)
1 Tblsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can mushrooms or 1/4 lb fresh, slice (optional)
Recipe
Heat oil in large skillet with 1 tsp. soy sauce, sugar and 1 tsp.
sherry. Saute onions until they begin to carmelize.
Mix cornstarch, 1 Tblsp. soy sauce and 1 tsp. sherry in a bowl.
Dredge meat in mixture, coating every piece. Put meat in onion
mixture; brown. Stir in Worcestershiresauce and garlic. Cover and let
simmer at least 1 hour, adding mushrooms, if desired, the last 10
minutes. Stir occasionally.
Serve over a bed of egg noodles.
