Chicken Fried Round Steak

1 1/2 lbs. beef round steak, cut 1/2" thick
1 beaten egg
1 T. milk
1 cup finely crushed saltine crackers (about 29 crackers)
1/4 cup oil
Recipe
Pound steak to 1/4" thickness. Cut into 6 pieces. Stir together egg and
milk. Mix cracker crumbs, 1/2 t. salt, 1/4 t. pepper. Dip meat in egg
mixture, then in crumbs. Brown meat in large skillet in hot oil. Turn
once;
cover. Cook over low heat 45 to 60 minutes or until tender. Serves 6
