    Pastry for 9-Inch One-Crust Pie -- (see recipe)
    2/3 cup sugar
    1/3 cup butter or margarine -- melted
    1 cup corn syrup
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    3 eggs
    1 cup pecan halves or broken pecans
    Whipped cream -- if desired
    Chopped pecans -- if desired

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 375º. Prepare pastry. Beat sugar, butter, corn syrup, salt
    and eggs in medium bowl with wire whisk or hand beater until well
    blended.
    Stir in pecan halves. Pour into pastry-lined pie plate.

    Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until center is set. Serve pie with whipped
    cream
    and chopped pecans.

    TIMESAVING TIPS
    By making this pie ahead of time, you can have it ready at
    a moment's notice. After baking, refrigerate pie 2 hours.
    Freeze uncovered at least 3 hours. Wrap and return to
    freezer. Store no longer than one month. When ready to
    serve, unwrap pie and thaw in refrigerator 20 minutes
    beforehand.
