List of Ingredients
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. fat free milk
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
2 T. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
1/8 t. garlic powder
3/4 lb. 85% lean ground beef
1/2 lb. bulk pork sausage
Sauce:
15 oz. can no added salt tomato sauce
6 oz. can tomato paste
1 sm. onion, chopped
1/2 c. chopped green bell pepper
1/2 c. red wine, or beef broth
1/3 c. water
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 t. dried oregano
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. pepper
1/2 t. sugar
Recipe
Make meatballs by combining egg and
milk. Add bread crumbs, cheese and
seasonings. Add meats, mix well. Shape
into 1" balls. Broil or sauté until brown.
Put in crock pot. Combine sauce
ingredients. Pour over meatballs. Cover;
cook on low 4 to 6 hours. Serve on rolls
with creamy red potatoes, salad, and
dessert. Makes 9 servings.
