Pretzels with Cheese Dip

1 package yeast
1 cup water
2 tablespoons margarine
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 3/4 cups flour
4 cups water
2 tablespoons baking soda
coarse salt
8 ounces American cheese -- cubed
3 ounces cream cheese -- cubed
2 tablespoons milk
prepared mustard
Recipe
In large bowl, combine yeast, water, butter sugar, salt and 2 cups
flour. Beat until smooth. Add enough remaining flour to form a soft
dough. Cover and let rise 20 minutes. Divide into 12 pieces. On a
lightly floured board, roll each piece into a 15-inch long rope, twist
into pretzel shape. In a large kettle, bring 4 cups water to a boil.
Add bakind soda. Drop two pretzels into water, boil for 1 minute.
Remove with sltted spoon, drain. Place on a greased baking sheet,
sprinkle with coarse salt. Repeat for each prtezel. Bake at 475
degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes. Meanwhile combine cheeses in a
microwave safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH 2 to 3 minutes until melted,
stirring occasionally. Stir in milk. Serve with pretzels along with
prepared mustard. Makes 12.
