    8 potatoes, diced
    1 onion, chopped
    5 cups water
    6 Tbsp butter
    6 Tbsp flour
    2 cups milk
    1/2 cup diced ham
    1 1/2 cups grated cheese
    1 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp paprika
    1/8 tsp pepper

    Recipe



    Bring potatoes, onions, and water to boil in heavy saucepan. Reduce
    heat and simmer until tender. Do not drain. In separate pan, melt
    butter.
    Add flour and stir and cook until mixture bubbles. Slowly add milk
    while
    stirring.
    Cook and stir until sauce thickens. Stir suace slowly into potatoes.
    Keep stirring and cook until thick. Add ham and cheese and stir until
    cheese is melted.

    NOTE: I have added Broccoli to this and Oh sooo good...try this
    also have added a rib of celery
