1 cup dry northern beans
2 medium carrots chopped
1 large onion chopped
1 meduim fennel bulb diced( i used dryed)
2 tbsp parsley
1 tsp dried rosemary
1 tsp minced garlic
1/4 tsp black pepper
4 1/2 cups chicken broth
2 1/2 cups cooked chicken
1 14 1/2 oz canned diced tomatoes undrainedRecipe
rinse beans and soak over nite, in the morning drain, and rinse.
mean while in slow cooker combine
carrot,onion,fennel,parsley,rosemary,garlic and pepper,place beans
on top of vegetables,pour broth over beans,
cover and cook on low 8- 10 hours or high 4-5 hours,then turn to
high add meat and tomatoes cook 30 minutes more, makes 4-6
servings, 426 calories, 10 grams of fat,3 grams saturated,78 mg
