Toward the end of the month, inventory freezer to see how many portions
of what are left and then make shopping list for the new month.
-----
Moors & Christians is just a can of black beans, rinsed and drained,
with a can of corn, drained, mixed together and heated. Season with some
seasoning salt or herb blend.
-----
California casserole is a package of frozen California blend vegetables
(Aldi's $0.89), one cup shredded cheddar, a can of cream of anything
soup, 1/4 tsp pepper, mixed together and baked for 30-35 min at 350f. I
usually cover it until the last 10 minutes or so. Sometimes I use Rita
Bingham's substitute of white bean flour cream of... for the cream of
whatever soup.
-----
Lentil-rice casserole is from _The Complete Tightwad Gazzette_.
Taco-style lentils recipe and most of the rest were aquired online, so
a quick search might find them quicker than I can type them in. If
not, let me know.
