Glazed Carrots

1 1/2 pounds fresh carrots
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
12 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel
2 tablespoons butter
Recipe
Prepare and cook carrots, cut into lengthwise strips, as directed.
In large skillet, cook and stir brown sugar, salt, orange peel and
butter until bubbly. Add carrot strips; cook over low heat, stirring
occasionally, about 5 minutes or until carrots are glazed and heated
through.
Note: To prepare carrots, scrape carrots and remove ends. Leave
carrots whole, shred or cut lengthwise into 3/8-inch-wide strips or
crosswise into 1/4-inch slices.
To Cook: Heat 1-inch salted water (1/2 teaspoon salt to 1 cup water)
to boiling. Add carrots. Cover and heat to boiling; cook until tender
--- 25 minutes for whole, 5 minutes for shredded, 18 to 20 minutes for
lengthwise strips, 12 to 15 minutes for crosswise slices. Drain.
