Mushroom Casserole

List of Ingredients
4 slices bread
Butter
2 pounds fresh mushrooms
2 cups light cream
Freshly ground pepper
1 T. lemon juice
3 T. butter
Recipe
Dry bread at 200.l Butter when warm, and break into small pieces. Chop
mushroom stems and slice caps. Layer mushrooms and bread in casserole.
Sprinkle with
lemon juice and fresh pepper. Add cream until dish is 2/3 full. Dot
with
butter. Bake at 350 for 30 to 45 minutes or until most of liquid is
absorbed.
Serves 6 as side dish. Try this dish with beef instead of the customary
potatoes.
