Priscilla's Italian Green Beans

3/4 pound green beans
1 tsp. olive oil
1 clove garlic
1/2 cup red pepper
red pepper sliced into strips (like match
sticks)
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon butter
salt and pepper to taste
Recipe
Steam or simmer beans for 5 minutes or until crisp but tender. Drain.
In skillet, saute garlic and oil for 30 seconds.
Add pepper and green beans. Saute for an additional 2 minutes, then
add water, cover and simmer for 2 more minutes. Add butter and season to
taste.
