    3 cups self-rising flour
    3/4 cups buttermilk
    3/4 cups Crisco

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 450 degrees. Add Crisco to flour with a pastry blender until it resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add buttermilk working into mixture. Knead dough until it has a "clay like" consistency, adding more flour as needed along the way.

    Roll dough on floured surface and cut with a round cookie cutter. Bake on a greased cookie sheet about 15 minutes.
