Wild Blueberry Scones

2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. allspice
5 tblsp. softened butter
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
Glaze:
powdered sugar
milk
Recipe
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Grease a large baking sheet. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and allspice. Add butter and cut into the flour with a fork or pastry blender until it resembles crumbs. Make a well in the center and add milk. Mix gently, and add blueberries. If it is too dry, add a small amount of milk - be careful not to overmix the dough.
Form into a ball, and flatten into a 9 or 10 inch disk. Using a long-bladed knife, cut into 8 or 10 pie-shaped wedges. Place on cookie sheet and brush tops with milk. Sprinkle sugar on top and bake for 12-15 minutes.
Remove from pan and drizzle with glaze made from powdered sugar and milk.
Serve warm with butter!
