    Individual Breakfast Strata

    Recipe Introduction

    As of the entry of this recipe, I have not tried this yet but I plan to. I've made larger versions and was very happy with the results, but thought these individual sizes might be nice.

    List of Ingredients

    8 slices of bread (cut off crusts)
    1 lb. bacon cooked and crumbled
    1 lbs. sausage cooked and crumbled (* I would probably leave this out - not a sausage fan)
    3 cups milk
    8 eggs
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
    1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    2 cups grated cheese (sharp recommended, but I like plain cheddar)


    Recipe

    Grease 8 small oven ramekins. Cube bread and divide among the 8 dishes. Sprinkle bacon and sausage on top of bread. Divide the cheese evenly among each dish and sprinkle on top of bacon/sausage.

    Beat eggs, milk, Worcestershire and mustard and pour over the other ingredients. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

    In the morning, bring to room temperature while preheating oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 30-40 minutes.

    (Note: this dish can be frozen. Take out the freezer the night before and place in the refigerator to thaw. Bring to room temperature before baking)
