    Chocolate Cream Pie

    Recipe Introduction

    I love my mom's chocolate cream pies, and I'm sure you will too!

    List of Ingredients

    1 cup sugar
    3/4 cup flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 cups milk
    2 eggs
    1 Tblsp. butter
    1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 9" baked pie shell

    Recipe

    In a large saucepan, mix flour, sugar and salt. Add one (1) cup of milk and mix until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat stirring constantly. Continue to stir and boil for about 2 minutes until thickened.

    Remove from heat. With a fork beat the 2 eggs with remaining cup of milk. Gradually stir into the hot mixture. Put back on medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly for about 1 minute.

    Remove from heat. Stir in butter, chocolate chips and vanilla. Stir until chips are melted. Pour into a baked, cooled pie shell. Top with whipped cream when ready to serve.
