    Cabbage Rolls

    Recipe Introduction

    This was one of the favorite meals cooked at my husband's firestation.

    List of Ingredients

    1 pound lean ground beef
    1 pound ground sausage
    1 onion (chopped)
    1 cup precooked rice
    Cabbage
    2 cans Snappy Tom tomato juice

    all spice (dash)
    garlic powder (1/2 tsp.)
    seasoning salt (1/2 tsp.)
    tobasco (3-4 drops)
    salt & pepper (to taste)
    cinnamon (1 tblsp.)

    Recipe

    Mix the hamburger, sausage, onion, rice and spices together. Add about 1/2 can Snappy Tom and mix together like a meat loaf.

    Core the cabbage, and put the whole head in a pot of boiling water. Cook for 5-10 minutes.

    Remove the leaves, and roll a small portion (maybe 1/3 to 1/2 cup) in each leaf. Roll up like a burrito and place in a 9 x 13 pan.

    Pour remaining Snappy Tom over the cabbage rolls, cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
