Recipe Introduction
I like bread pudding, but I'm the only one in my family that will eat it, so I hate to make a full pan that will go to waste. I played around with some recipes and found a way to make just enough for ME!
List of Ingredients
2 slices of cinnamon bread
1 large egg
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 Tblsp. melted butterRecipe
Tear up bread slices and place in a small greased baking dish. (I have an ovenserve dish about the size of a large potato).
Mix all other ingredients and pour over bread cubes. Allow to sit and soak up the liquid for about 5 minutes. Place in a 350 degree oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes.
It's great with a vanilla sauce:
1 Tblsp. butter
2 Tblsp. sugar
1 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Melt butter in small saucepan. Add sugar and cornstarch and stir until blended. Add water and vanilla and cook until thickened.
