    1 cup flour
    3/4 cup and 1/4 cup (divided)
    3 Tblsp. and 1/4 cup cocoa (divided)
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 cup milk
    1/3 cup applesauce
    1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 cup + 2 Tblsp. brown sugar
    1-1/4 cups boiling water

    Recipe



    Combine flour, 3/4 cup sugar, 3 tblsp. cocoa, baking powder and salt. Add milk, applesauce and vanilla and stir till combined.

    Spray an 8 x 8 baking dish with Pam, and pour mixture in.

    Combine brown sugar with remaining 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa and sprinkle over batter.

    Carefully pour boiling water over top (DO NOT STIR). Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
