Strawberry & Cream Cheese Tart

Crust:
1 Pillsbury pie crust
Filling:
1 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 cup Cool Whip
Topping:
4 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
1 Tblsp. shortening
Recipe
Crust: Unroll pie crust and dust with flour on both sides. Place in a 9" pie pan or a tart pan. Bake according to instructions for 1-crust pie. Allow to cool.
Filling: In a large bowl, cream together the cream cheese, sugar and almond extract. When this is smooth and creamy, blend in the Cool Whip. Pour into the cooled pie crust and refigerate while making the topping.
Topping: In a small saucepan, melt chocolate chips and shortening over low heat stirring constantly. Add sliced strawberries to top of pie and drizzle melted chocolate over strawberries. Refrigerate for at least 30 min. to 1 hour before serving.
